We Love Debby Schuh

Anna Griffin designer Debby Schuh is coming to Sweetpeas and Snapshots on Saturday, December 2nd. We'll be making a holiday mini album using the new Anna Griffin Bailey Holiday Collection papers and embellishments. Inclusions are the hot ticket here, swinging your creative door wide open. Using folds, rub ons, and ribbons, we'll make a unique 20+ page mini album that will make a lovely gift for a special friend or yourself!

Twenty-plus pages? Wow!

Debby is flying in from New York just to teach this wonderful workshop, so we'll be offering it in two sessions: 10-1, then again from 2-5. Seating is limited per session, so don't wait to call for your spot. Materials are included, but don't forget your scissors, and students should bring if they have them: pencil, paper trimmer, scoring blade for the trimmer or a bone folder or stylus, 1/4" hole punch, and a corner rounder punch. $55.00

Slide Success

Liz Eaton's Slide Mount Charm workshop last night was a smashing success. Participents each walked away with at least two finished pieces, plus their own new soldering iron to create more mini-masterpieces later. We had a little too much "Bravo" pizza and the usual cupys, and were given assistance by Emily Falconbridge, who created some cool Christmas ornament charms. We'll have to add another round of this workshop pretty darn soon.

Taking the popular artist trading card craze to the next level, Suzi will lead you through the ways of layering, stamping, masking and other design concepts to create personalized directory cards for your friends and business contacts. How about a special occasion theme? It's up to YOU! Each workshop participant receives a new rolodex, complete with "page protectors" for their mini-masterpieces. We love surprises (in case you hadn't noticed), and today we got a goody: sisters (not nuns) Joyce and Kristine Atkinson, the girls behind Journal 

     "While we were refinishing an old desk that we bought at a thrift store, we discovered an old diary hidden behind one of the drawers. We became fascinated by the woman who wrote it, Amy Zoe Mason. Who was she? What happened to her? And why did she hide her journal?

Marah Johnson Series Set!

For immediate release: Marah Johnson has signed on to star in the upcoming Sweetpeas and Snapshots comedy series "Triple Header", set to "air" on Saturday, December 16th with three back-to-back "episodes" to air (starting at 10 a.m.) We are now holding an open call for supporting characters.

Episode One; "Maria": Marah's half-case luggage gets a little carried away with the tattoos. Meanwhile on the inside, the girls are having issues deciding on the lining; hilarity ensues. ($50.00)

Episode 2; "Paper Posies": The gang goes wild when they see what Marah is doing with the Accucut machine... this is what your mother warned you about. Special appearance by the Swarovskis. ($60.00)

  Episode 3; "All Dressed Up...": Marah and the gang are challenged by Tim Gunn to create haute couture...OUT OF PAPER! Who will be in the top three this week? ($50.) Saturday's House & Home handcrafted book class (by J.Stein) was SRO. Thank goodness the homeowner's association didn't enforce their petty decorating rules! We love the diverse creations our talented students came up with. Bravo!
