What an artistic day I spent with my Lola's and teachers, Robert Mahar and Tricia Samsal...a honey from Arizona....
It was so great to teach again, This Lola got her groove back..
I can't wait to tell you all about the party and the gracious, delightful gifts I received tomorrow...

Our Sisterhood...My Sisterhood...Your Invited !
Once upon a "SilverBella" there were four Glittery Goddesses that stumbled upon each other's hearts.
They realized they had a lot more in common than just liking the smell of adhesive...
Sparkles set them off, and so the story goes...
"The Sisterhood of The Traveling Glitterhands"...
Meet my sisterhood, Andra Hepler , Alicia Walker and Miss Cris Cunningham. The founders of the sisterhood....and guess what?
Everyone is invited to join !
One thing I have always loved when teaching or being a student is how everyone starts on the same project but they all turn out to be completely different reflecting the glittery goddesses in all of us...I really loved experiencing that at SilverBella.
Once we made the sisterhood, each night we would compare our projects from the same classes, they were all so different and beautiful. While sharing this time together we made friendships that will last forever...
I took a break from my classes to go shopping at "Second Chance" (didn't we all?) and there they stood.. 3 glove forms one for each of my gals...I have the matching pink one at home....I prepared a special table complete with glitter and sparkly pink champagne and voila..."The Sisterhood"was born...
I would like to extend an invitation to all the glittery goddesses out there to join our Sisterhood by trying to find a glove form ( I have one in my shop...) ebay or thrift shops are a great place to find them. I was gifted my first one by Alice Del Rosario, my dear buddy. Or simply print out a picture off my blog and photograph your projects with the glittery hand, kind of like a "Traveling Sam" take the hands with you on art retreats or pictures just with your family. Send them to me and every Sunday will be "Sisterhood of the Traveling Glitterhands".

It is a great way to showcase your art on my blog...which is viewed all over the world. Funny how that works...but I love it.
I will be making a Flickr album on the side of my blog for everyone to view and will award a special Glittering hand drawn randomly every Sunday evening (starting Sunday , December 7th through March ) for entries that week.
There is so much talent among all of us...Let's share it!

I know I have been a bad blogger...I have not posted in 2 weeks, let's just say I have been so tired at the end of the day all I want is my Miss Pearl and a fire...
But, I'm finally feeling rested and have sooooo much to share with you !
Going to Silver Bella for the first time was a life changing experience....both artistic and emotionally.
Top "Bella" herself, Miss Teresa McFayden throws one heck of a shin-dig...
She is so inspiring and as warm as can be to all of the 150 women that just want to be near her...She makes you feel as though she has known you forever. Thanks, Miss Bella !
All of the instuctors, Kim Kwan, Carolyn Peeler, Jenni Bowlin, Rebecca Sower,
Pam Garrison and Charlotte Lyons are as gracious as can be...
All of their classes were true works of art...
I myself, completed 5 projects...unheard of for me.
Since I had my own store I could never complete a class because of other pressing or shall we say"cutting" issues.
Miss Teresa even posted my Pageant book on her blog last week...(It was the last one pictured of 3)....
So proud...! I already gave away all my projects since they were all Holiday gifts. I think I have some pictures though...I will dig them up.
I also connected with so many lovelies and avid Sweetpea' friends either wonderfully artistic students or my lovely cyber-space buddies....
Miss Maija Lapore and myself...What a lovely, classy lady.
I loved catching up with my two favorite Sweetpeas, Alicia Walker and Miss Marion Ballog. Marion gifted me with the most beautiful mini-album made from a mint tin...I will post picture tomorrow...
I also have some wonderful news and some great new friendships to share about from SilverBella..but that deserves a post of it's own tomorrow.
Lola was a huge success and I will share everything, every last Lola detail later this week.

Made this beautiful board book out of the goodies Sweetpeas, Hope Wallace of Paper Relics and Robert Mahar of Mahar Drygoods furnished for "SilverBella"...I hope she doesn't mind that I featured her post....It is so informative and creative...Can you tell she is one of the leaders of instructors in our industry?
She is so stinkin' and sparkly talented....
I promised I wouldn't post until Sunday about "SilverBella" but I just got so excited and flattered....

I was inspired in Pam Garrison's class to take the little album and make it my Silver Bella scrapbook. I took all the pieces of this and that we had been given along the way, the business cards and moo cards that we exchanged, and assembled it all in the Maya Road album from class. The thing that really makes it is the paper dolls that Mary Smilove gave us from Sweetpeas and Snapshotsin our goodie bags. Someone in class gave me the crown (thank you!) and I just went to town punching holes in all the pieces and assembled it together. When I got home I resized and arranged my photos...four 3x2" photos on a 4x6" base...and printed them out on my Epson Picturemate printer. They are the perfect size for this little album. It captures for me the wonderful people and time I had there.

I wish I had remembered to tell Mary E that my first job in the business was on the Mary Engelbreit design team for Creative Imaginations. I loved it!

Well, I'm back from "SilverBella" and can't wait to start posting about all the fun and life-long friendships I made while I was gone...I promise that will start with an exciting announcement on Sunday....Stay tuned!
But for now...it is all about "Lola"...
Due to popular demand we are adding a few options...Purchasing classes individually.
Since we are flying Tricia in from Arizona that day...we would love to offer her class at 5:00pm-7:00pm to give everyone a chance to meet her. She will be teaching her beeswax technique on canvas...such a great holiday gift.
This class will be offered at $45.00...and will lead into dinner and entertainment.
We will also be offering Robert Mahar's class separately at $65.00 at 2:00pm.
Again, you may also combine these two classes for $110.00 including dinner.
Dinner only is $30.00 per person and $50.00 for two.
My morning classes are set and I need to free up my afternoon to throw a party like you have never seen...
Only Sweetpea's could bring you a world classs entertainer like Eddie to set your Holiday mood...

As always, Sweetpeas is full of exciting surprises and changes...but I think you will still be estactic about our line-up....Beth And Lilia can't join us, but Beth's beatiful creations will be on display to gobble up.
We will be starting off the day at 10:00am with that naughty Lola drowning in her martini glass...
We will be glittering vintage ornaments and rimming our glass with festive sparkly "sugar".
Draping Lola with jewels and even making Santa's "Naughty or Nice" scrolling list...Which list are you on?
As always my vintage stash will be a free for all to share and make each student's project their own...A paper fan sits in the back just waiting for a little embellishing.
The first three classes will be led my me...
I also learn so much from my students and love how everyone's turn out a little different...
Next, We will be making our vintage glove stocking for Santa...
This will be a different project for everyone...if you see my previous post , you will see my glove selection to choose from...so many delicious palettes to choose from...
Another technique besides a vintage frame will be a stripped down wooden canvas frame to actually hang our stockings from...I have vintage wallpaper to match every scrumptious color you may choose.
The third class is straight from the glorious pages of "Home Companion"...
We will be dressing our "Lola's" in vintage skirts complete with her jingle bells...
Lunchtime will include a special box filled with delightful petite sandwiches and extra yummies served in a way only Sweetpeas can ...
After lunch we will mosy on over to the store for a special yet to be revealed sale exclusively for "Lola" gals...
Returning home by 2:00, The "creme de la creme", that fancy Robert Mahar will be teaching his Vintage crepe Birdy class and Vintage Corsage...Robert always brings along plenty of goodies to share too...
I don't want to say we saved the best for last...but it sure is a surprise!
Trisha from vintagebliss.typepad.com will be flying straight from her class in Arizona to make a guest appearance at "Lola" teaching her hugely popular beeswax canvas...
Take a peeky... I can't wait to learn all of her techniques, plus she is a living doll !
We will also be using some pin-up girl images on the canvases as well..

All of the wonderful holiday crafting will wind down with tea or pink champagne while Eddie Wakes gets set to croon us through dinner...
Menu for dinner will be a classic Holiday feast..believe me, We are pulling out all the punches...I can't wait to see you here.
