This Saturday , December 20th, 11:00am-2:00pm.
Trunk it and Trade it...
Hey we all need some new stuff..Shall I say "Mynx" tee shirts are in the Sweetpeas house again?
You remember how hugely popular our trunk show was in 2007...
"Mynx" t-shirts have become so hot that they are flying off the shelves at Kitson, Intuition and Fred Segal. There is also a collection for kids and tweens... the best part?
Way below retail prices...we can all use that help this holly-jolly...
Look at these new beauties...
Not only will Mynx be showing their goodies.
Our favorite jewelry designer Shari Wacks will be sparkling the day up in full festive gemstones. The only jewelry I wear! This is my personal collection...
Now for the Trade-in...We all know we are Fashionistas and have labels to spare.
Bring some of your Guccis, Pradas, Jacobs, True Religions...sunglasses, dresses, handbags...you get it!
Strike up a trade with another Marvy model here...
The deal is strictly between the two trading...So, make sure you like it!
I myself will be having a few bags to trade as well as...
You guessed it...
Anything Vintage, especially jewelry and paper.
Delightful Almond Champagne and light refreshments will be served...
You know Sweetpeas knows how to throw it down when it comes to shopping and yummies...
Our hostess will be the lovely Fashionista herself Rachel Crosby, and one of my dearest gal pals. Don't expect any of her Manolos to make the trade though!
We can't wait to have fun with you...
Saturday, December 20th, 11-2pm

Lately I have been thinking of all the wonderful friends I have in my life.
They inspire me to keep moving and creating in such a paralyzing year with my accident, some personal issues and Sweetpeas ever so changing moves...I am soooo ready for 2009!
Good moves that will be even better in the New Year..(did someone say book deal?) Hee, Hee...
Here are some inspiring gifts that I have received from my beautiful loveys that keep me going...
This corsage of elegant beauty is made with vintage crepe paper and tiny vintage thread spools. I can just imagine the bride who was lucky enough to receive this from a friend like I did... Miss Alicia Walker, my sweety.
It reminds me of a beautiful young talented lady we all know Princess Lasertron who makes one of a kind beautiful bridal bouquets that are just lovely enough if you are or are not getting married...she also makes whimsical headpieces that I j'adore...
I promised The Princess I would try to get her out to LA to promote her artful bouquets to all the LA brides who just want something that nobody else has ever seen.
This is it!
Another Lady Divine I received was from my dear friend Brooke, she knows my style more than anyone...
I named her Lady Divine from a character in a few John Waters films..my Baltimore buddy..Hi John!
She watches me as I do dishes on a shelf above my sink and she makes me feel like a porcelain goddess as I'm up to my elbows in bubbles...
By the way, my hair looks like that all the time for those who know me...
And yes I've been known to do the dishes topless every so often when I'm alone....but don't try this while frying bacon...long story...Hugs, Mary

Hello, hello! Robert here with a big thank you to all of the lovely ladies who joined us for the Sweetpeas holiday event! It's always fun to craft with a group of creative people, experiment with new materials and play with new techniques. I'm so appreciative of those who attended the class and I hope you all had as much fun as I did!
Of course the warmest thanks to Miss Mary for coordinating a wonderful day capped off with a sparkling evening. A delicious holiday buffet, the crooning tunes of Mr. Eddie Wakes and festive company - what a night! You're the best Mary - thank you for all of the love and passion you invest in all you do.
Thank you to Alice for snapping documenting the day with photos!

Every student had the brightest most colorful projects at the end of the day...
No Shabby pastels were in the house. Lola started with the 3 classes I taught, "Lola Martini", Vivacious Vintage Gloves & Darling Dress Forms...
What was so magical that everyone enjoyed my Vintage Stash and made each project different. I love sharing my eclectic suitcases filled with booty! That is how every class with me will be...believe me, I NEED to give away some of my "Beautiful" mess!
We took a break for lunch with petite sandwiches and bubbly rose water packed in a delightful doily wrapped box topped with a gingerbread elf.
How exciting it was when Robert walked in with his Christmas tree full of velvet ribbons and exotic Iced Passion Fruit potions to start his "Birdy" class off with. Robert is such a joy to be around and he teaches techniques that won't be found anywhere else.
The crepe paper Delights took flight in every gorgeous hue and shape you can imagine...What a whimsical sight!
As Robert was winding down , in comes "Miss Vintage Bliss"herself, Tricia Samsal, straight off the plane from Arizona. Tricia started buzzing right away sharing her "beeswax" with everyone. All of the ladies raved about how sweet and genuine Tricia is ...We can't wait to have her come back.
Evening arose and it was back to my humble adobe for a party that will not be forgotten. The pink Christmas trees and tables set with brightly colored vintage hats, Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole albums all set the tone for a 60's inspired Christmas. Twinkie and Ho-Ho sushi, Pineapple Glazed ham, Red Velvet cake and marshmallow sweet potato casseroles were among the favorites for this fun-loving crowd.
Miss Cynthia Flores and Cutie Pie Hubby...
Dear Alice and handsome Norman Dixon...
Super-Model Kimberly and Eddie...
Cover girls from "Home Companion" Liza-Lou & Leila Boo...
Eddie Wakes crooned as we dined , then danced the night away. It was a magical evening shared with my friends to celebrate the "Lola" in all of us...
Thank you to everyone, I truly had a day I will never forget...
XOXO Mary
